What exactly is a proxy email?
It's a real, working email address ending in @tailmailer.com that forwards everything it receives to your actual inbox. The sender only ever sees the proxy — your real address stays private.
Do I need a new inbox or email app?
No. Your mail keeps arriving in the inbox you already use. Tailmailer sits in front of it, not in place of it.
Can I reply to forwarded messages?
Forwarded messages arrive in your inbox like any other mail. Keep in mind that replying from your regular account reveals your real address to the sender.
What happens when I turn an alias off?
Mail sent to it is silently discarded — the sender isn't notified and nothing reaches your inbox. Turn it back on at any time to resume forwarding.
Do you read or store my email?
No. Messages are processed in memory just long enough to forward them. We keep a delivery log (sender, subject, alias, outcome) so you can see alias activity, but never the message body or attachments.
